LESS vs FEWER.
If a quantity can be counted, it is FEWER.
If a quantity is an abstract amount, it is LESS.
example:
Three people left the crowd. Now there are three fewer people. It is NOT "three less people"
I drank some of my water and now there is less water in my glass. the preceding sentance correctly uses "less"

Possessive is its, "it is" is it's.
