I am going to build my own rack.
good choice, u can definitely save money this way, but... PVC racks like Animal Plastics, or Reptile Basics, are fairly cheap.. and worth the money imo

I plan on getting plenty of heat tape and a thermostat. (Whats good?)
I suggest Flexwatt over Heat Cable,, just because thats personally what I like to use. Thermostats.. I use Herpstat, and Helix DBS1000. I actually like the Herpstat better. but both are superb therms.

Later I will purchase an incubator, most likely a cheaper model under $100. (Also whats prefered?)
Dont waste money on an incubator. I HIGHLY suggest buying a thermostat, and some heat tape, and make your own out of a cooler, or small freezer. if you find a "cheap model" under $100.. its gunna suck.. and ur not going to be happy with it.

I plan on getting 0.2 Normal Proven Breeders (already lined-up).
    SWEET! :]

Finally I plan on purchasing 1.0 Pastel that is either proven or can be bred this coming season.
If you can swing the extra money,, try for a lesser or mojave, pastels have lost alot of market value now that double co-doms are so cheap. ( but im not sure if you plan on breeding to sell,, or just for your own personal collection gain)

thats my quik 2 cents :]

I dunno... Part of me thinks that if you aren't willing to drop the adequate money to keep the snakes comfortable with the right thermostat etc, then perhaps breeding isn't the right choice. Keep in mind that even is regular pet ownership vet bills can become expensive. These potential vet encounters will increase as the breeding process continues.

I think that in general you will get what you put in. Go cheap, get cheap. Go quality, get quality.
