    Hm. My snake doesn't *quite* fit in either of its hides, and it has also become more active since summer started. Are those maybe the reasons why?

    Hmm Small FT rat in Monday... Interest.. smelling the warm air ( i use hair dryer to warm defrosted rat... and not taken again :-/.. but i don't worry yet... he is 997g now so try again in Saturday (going on week vaca after that) if not I'll Try live after vacation :P

    so update: still no feeding week 4, but now I have a question about frozen rats.

    If they're pretty bloody, is a snake less inclined to take it? My snake has taken rats with bloody noses and slightly bloody faces, but yesterday the rat was more bloody than usual.

    At one point during the process, my snake got a little interested, but then lost interest again. <sigh> It hasn't lost any weight though.
