We have a well, and I drink the water, so the snakes drink the water. The only animals in the house that get Deer Park are the dogs...and thats because the mineral content of the water makes em' fart...:fart:..lol.

The chlorine in the tap water will dissipate after 24 hours. Not sure about anything else though. Personally, I use tap water. I drink it, so do my animals. The only animals that get special treatment with their water are the fish. :D Though I do plan on getting a filter for our faucet when we move.

Yes, clorine does off gas when left in an open container. I don't know about flouride. I keep a bunch of plastic jugs that I fill with tap water and leave set overnight for my turtle water. The snakes waterbowls I just fill from the tap. If it's good enough for me to drink, it's good enough for them.

I read somewhere to be careful with filtered water because it is missing natural minerals. Can't remember where though, and not exactly sure why I was researching water, but it stuck with me. Thoughts?

Tap water. They drink the same water I drink, and I'm sure they'll be fine.
