Re: Spider Clutch
Nice clutch! Very interesting about the last "normal" female  She sure does look like the het albino male. You'll have to promise to let us know if she ever proves out.:D

Love those babies! I see what you mean, now about the last little normal. She DOES look almost just like Alchemy! Crazy!
(Alchemy is Elmo's daddy ;) )

Re: Spider Clutch
Thanks much everyone! The comments are greatly appreciated! I so love having these little ones around! Unfortunately, I won't get to prove out the lst normal female . . . space is too much of an issue for me. However, if whoever winds up buying her keeps in touch, perhaps they'll keep me updated. ;)

Personally, I wouldn't house him with another snake. Ball pythons tend to be solitary creatures and actually don't prefer the company of other snakes. Even if you want to get a female for him, house them separately, and once they get large enough to breed, place them together in cycles. Even so, make sure you've mastered keeping first--breeding is a bit more advanced, and you'll have much better luck at producing healthy babies if you already understand their basic needs. :)
As for what type of female to get, there are many options. You could try for bumblebees if you pair him with a pastel and want a chance to see a visual double-morph on your first pairing. Lessers or butters are also a nice choice to pair with spiders, IMHO. Butter- and lesserbees are very nice animals! And again, you get a chance at seeing some double-morph animals on your first pairing. If you're willing to invest a bit more time into your project, you could try pairing him up with a recessive trait female, such as a ghost or an albino, in which case you'll have to hold back the male babies and either breed them back to their mom to see a double-morph animal, or another female of the same morph that they are "het" for. In the end, though, try what works best for you and your budget. The project will be a lot more fun for you if you are producing animals that you like. Research some of the double-morph animals involving spiders, and see which one you like the best. Because you're the one who will be looking at and caring for the animals you decide to buy, and it will be a while if you buy them as babies until they reach sufficient weight to breed.
Best of luck!
