Personally I just use walmart's allergy medication. There's a type with the same ingredients as their sleeping pills, but it costs like a dollar less. The number you have to take to reach the LD50 is like 10/lb, and you're only "supposed" to take 2 (1 for allergies, 2 for sleeping pills), but if I grab like 6 I'll pass out within a few minutes of laying down.

It worked for me when I was working nights and needed to sleep through the day. I just had to make sure I had 7-8 hours to sleep or I would feel groggy...
