Betadine for snake?

I already did and he suggested betadine. I just wanted to double check and make sure that there would be no risks in treating snakes with it. Because I know some Iodine contain other ingredients that may be harmful to reptiles.

She is on an anti biotic Enrofox.

Also got a topical cream Silver Sulfadiazine to help also.

I am hoping to start seeing signs of healing soon.

That's good news. This information would have also been helpful to us that were worried about the snake's health. Nothing against you, but all too many times, someone will post a home rememdy or something that THEY thought would be good for the snake.

I'm really glad the snake is getting the proper care it deserves!

If it were me. I would soak it in clorhexidine, not the betadine. Chlorhexidine seames more soothing for them, and the betadine can burn them if left to long or the mix is to strong. This is from my own experiances. Also you don't need or want to rince the chlorhexidine off after the soak.

Yeah sorry it was all so sudden. Picked her up out of the tank, noiced her stomach. Called every vet and most were closed, then called animal rescues around us and luckily the one up north had a vet that knew about herps that was staying late (phew) so I smashed up there within 10 minutes of discovering it.

Hopefully with all 3 of those things, including soaking her she should make a quick recovery.

Should I try to offer food or hold of till she is fully healed?

How bad is it? Most will not eat if the injury is bad enough to stress them out. I would wait a week at least. But don't be surprised if she does not eat for a little while.
