Awwww. You are not a crappy snake owner. Just take him with you if you are that worried. I take mine to the pet store. Sometimes that last an hour. Lol.

Although he really should have something regulating his temps. Even if you are home all the time, you still need to sleep. Temp spikes can occur at random times, and some have even melted a tub in a short period of time.

You might even look in the yellow pages for a pet sitter. Maybe a professional with watch him for you (I bet they charge out the rear, but it's worth a shot).

Good luck! I hope it works out for you :) Relax, it's a vacation for you!

You just never know when he'll decide to burrow and get burned. Without something regulating the temps, I'd take them with me. I just loaded up the tubs in the backseat.

Please get a thermostat. You should be measuring the hottest point in the tub (underneath the substrate) anyway.

if you want you can set your ac in your house to 90 and turn off his heater all together that way he cant get burned and the temps are right on. your house could get a little cooler but if its that hot out it wouldnt get anywhere near cold enough to hurt him. as for the water a week with the same water will be fine they could even go a week with no water and not hurt them at all.
