    I have to use forceps when I feed my Green Tree Python. I know his teeth can penetrate gloves.

    Go to a automotive supply store or eBay and get yourself a pair of 12-18" Hemostats, they are curved locking pliers. If you are feeding frozen/thawed, fresh killed they will work great. If you feed live there will be no need for them. Consider a snake hook for moving the snake while doing cage maintenance.

    However, I would recommend getting your snake use to cage activity (cleaning, handling, etc.) and Handling at least on a weekly basis. Approach your snake from the side and give it a little rub before picking it up. Always be confident and unafraid. They are pretty docile creatures and if handled slowly and gently should not become startled and strike.

    I had locking ones but I took a dremel and cut the locking parts off. It is soooo much easier without them on there.
