    Srsly, just buy a thermostat. $30 is worth it. And 90-95 on the glass is correct and shouldn't be any sort of problem. That's why you measure the glass, not the top of the substrate, which I suspect you may be doing.

    You can buy "tabletop dimmer switches" at Home Depot or Lowe's. No power cord cutting involved.
