This movie looks like it would be great.

Who cares if it doesn't follow exactly how it was before? Look at how great they re-did the batman movies.

The first mortal kombat movies were like watching episodes of power rangers.... sad.

As long as they don't butcher everything too bad, it will be cool.

I like how they are focusing on Sub Zero vs. Scorpion. That was always the coolest storyline anyway....

Well the thing is, if you were young enough (or is it old enough?) when MK 1 the video game came out and played it, you would understand and probably liked the old movies. I can understand how Seru feels... I dont mind a "little adaptation" if you are gonna do a movie out of an old iconic story, but that MK movie it's a bit too far for me, every character is out of sync.

I gotta say I own the first 2 MK movies. I still watch them. 1 was really good, even though it was silly in places that was good because lets face it that was one silly game. And they just let reality go in places and instead of harsh reality they had some bright shiny fun. And I like that.

Not all new adaptations are bad. Alot of the new super hero movies are being very well done. And I think A Team will be brilliant. My whole mantra is just to respect the spirit of the original property, Camp and all. The original was a success for a reason, if you have a good property you don't need to change alot.

I liked the first MK movies, but I'm from that MK video game generation... This one looks too..real. Defeats the whole purpose IMO to make MK realistic.
