It was even more sad that the Corp ended up treating him the way they did.
I still can't believe that after his record and his service, the couldn't keep him an additional 55 days so he could make his 20 years. Disgraceful.

That was cruel, but until his last day on earth, he loved the Corp. When his son called me to tell me of his passing, I cried. There are certain people that leave you with something, a part of them I guess. Carlos was a great simple man. I am a better person for knowing him. I can only imagine what his close friends must have felt after his death.
