Awesome snake! Don't forget that not much is known about bp genetics. We know about how to make c from a X b, but not much more than that. New things pop up often enough.

    PARADOX!

It finally came out overnight. Looks pretty cool, but does have a funny tail. The tail is tucked under and seems to be fused together. I don't think/hope that this won't affect the little critter at all. The tail doesn't bother me as far as looks go. I know it is from the way it sat in the egg. My only concern with the tail would be stuck shed in between. If anyone has experience with this type of tail, please pm me. I emailed Ralph Davis to show him how the baby looked and also asked him about the tail.

My best explaination of the tail would be that it's like a webbed toe.

IMO This will not give the snake a problem. Of course, I am concerned about it, etc. Any input on this subject would be appreciated.

As for the tail..meh it' shouldn't hurt it as long as it has good blood supply..but the color..I'm going to go with a "True" paradox animal..

Ralph Davis replied and was excited to see pics of this clutch.

Ralph said to leave the tail alone as long as it's not in the way of it pooping. The tail turned under is not in the way of the vent and IMO it will not be a health concern. I'll just have to see how it sheds out.

Dang nice luck on the odds! And that lil dude (or dudess) is definitely a keeper!! Did Ralph say anything on what it might be? Paradox?

Congrats again on such an amazing clutch. They are all beautiful but WOW that platty is nothing short of amazing!! Sorry about the tail but if not covering the vent then you should be good to go. (not that I really know...but just my uneducated 2 cents)
