Water bowl poll

I use these thick plastic rock looking water bowls. I'm not sure if they are dishwasher safe or not, but I only have 4 to clean and refill, so it isn't that much of a chore...

I like ceramic the best for my redtail and my bigger normal ball they got ceramic dog bowles. My blood he has ceramic and my lil baby normal ball has a plastic groovy water dish, ceramic is bye far my choice.

Heavy bodied ceramic ones because they don't spill so much! One day I'm going to make it to the pottery to make some of my own with the base wider than the rim. I'm tired of wet newspaper!

Over the years we've used the plastic crock and the pvc with deli cups. Now we're gradually switching to ceramic crocks for our water bowls. We've found that it is less of a pain to wash the ceramic bowls then it is to keep replacing the aspen and refilling the bowls when the snakes turn over the other types (plastic crock, pvc) and the water spills out.

i use two of those zoo-med reptile bowl rock looking thingy's. I picked them up at a show for $2 each rather than the $15 petsmart sell em for.

Ceramic cause of the weight factor.

It depends on the humidity.

During seasons when humidity is low, I use the Zoomed Repti Rock water dish put half-way over the heater.

When humidity is high, I use the Exo-terra Water Dish.

I found that even when the Exo-terra water dish is on top of the heater, it doesn't raise the humidity by much. And I also found that the Zoomed Repti Rock raises the humidity even if it's not on the heater.

I only have 4 snakes and they're all on display vivariums. Or was. One of them is currently maternally incubating in a sterilite bin.

I use ceramic and I never had a tip over! They are really easy to clean!

If a bowl is tipoverable my big girls will tip it :P heavy or not.
I use ceramic mostly and it keeps the spills to a minimum but they still can and will occasionally tip them.

I have an adult male yellow belly that seems to love to tip his bowl :rolleyes:
