I agree.. looking at all these pictures makes me want to get one. I did weeks of research and browsing on ball pythons before I decided to get them and I feel like it'd be the same for these.. A good reliable starting source would be great =]

Well As there is no set in stone way to care for these animals, most follow general rules and tweak them for their needs. Most breeders do what works for them and not all are the same. I provided link to a care sheet I came up with a few years ago and is what I base my husbandry on. Its funny cause even now I see a couple of things I can change on the info provided...

For those of you thinking about getting one.....it is one of the most rewarding pets that I have. Like I stated before....it was not my idea to get a beardie....it was the 9 yr old. But I totally fell in love. They have ooddles of personality and daily crack me up with crazy antics.
From what I have read and seen with Bob....bigger enclosures are better. We built a 4x2x2 enclosure and put in lamanite flooring...lots of ppl use tile. He is doing so well and flourishing. It is also super easy to clean which is a plus!! As babies you don't want to give them sand as they can become impacted but as soon as Bob turns one I have a "toy box" that will turn into a sand box for him to play in. They take a lot of time and those of you that have more than one amaze me as Bob takes allot of time and attention. Bob gets a bath every 2 days as they can get hydrated through their cloacal. He also likes to get brushed with a soft nail brush while in his bath. Welcome to excess when it comes to him...but he is doing so well and his colors are very bright for just being a normal guy. (I think guy)...lol...:O
I have found that beardeddragon.org is a great site and they really seem to know there stuff over there. I am no beardie expert by any means so I won't write to much more. Maybe I can get a couple of beardie experts on here together and we can come up with something. ;)
By the way Action.....holy toledo...those are some bright beardies you have. I LOVE the puffy pic (not scared of birds)...too cute. Bob has only pooffed up once and that was when he couldn't catch a loose cricket in his cage. It was pretty funny...he turned all black and had the hugest neck I have ever seen. I had to take everything out and catch it for him before he had a beardie heart attack!! lol
