Just to clear things up, I was talking about that particular model, it's nice and flat, something that you can stick to the tub. The ones I always find are those "rectangle pyramid" looking ones. :rage:
I always look in the garden section at Home Depot or Walmart. I haven't seen any at Walmart. Home Depot carriers those big bulky ones... I will have to look in Lowes one day. Thanks.
What would be the next step up from a 28/32qt tub for a RTB? a taller tub or something more flat? Any sugestions please? :)

I'm debating that right now. I have 2 options. The first is a 50qt tub that measures 32"L X 19"W X 7"T. And the other is a 105qt that measures 32"L X 19"W X 13"T. I'm going to set-up the 105 tonight and if I mess it up I can always use the 50. The main thing I am debating on is where to put the holes. So far I'm thinking 1 row near the bottom and 1 row near the top. Then I'll have to let the tub run for a few days to see how the temps and humidity are going to hold. I'll take pics and let you know the results.
The AcuRites don't come with adhesive backing. I used Velcro. I've also got one being held on with a small bolt and nuts and the AcuRite just basically hangs on it like it would if you hung it on a wall. And it's actually easier to remove the AcuRite for cleaning than the velcro ones, and I've got pics of how I did that as well, so if anyone wants to see how I did it, let me know, and I'll post up the pics...

I would really like to see how you did that! I've been trying to figure out what to do with mine [standing, they are not very sturdy]. And also what to do with all of the excess chord wire for the probe.

what do you mean by "the ugly and block like ones", these are the units i use from walmart and homedepot. i kind of stopped using the unit with the probe being as though the wire starts to strip and become exposed so i just started using the smaller squared unit which measures humidity and ambient air, then i just use a temp gun to measure basking spots.

from my understanding those big blocky bottom units are the replacement models for that slender unit with the flip-out stand. look in my post you can see they are the same model which is 00891. so im assuming its the replacement model.

Thanks very much for the pics!
I guess I wont be seeing that "make" anymore then.
Re: Lets see your redtail babies setups
My baby(2009's) boas are in 12"x24" enclosures sold by LLLReptiles. These enclosures have screen tops that I covered mostly with 1/8" plexiglass from home depot. Not really the best enclosures for climbing but they look nice. I spray painted the outside of the back glass with black spray paint. Boaphile cages are waiting for when the babies get bigger. Boas GROW!
