Re: Need Help On Selecting A Good Rack!!!
My vote goes to ReptileBasics.com. I currently own 5 RBI racks and have 1 on the way. I have nothing but good things to say about my sweater box and CB-70 racks. Also Rich's customer service is 2nd to none.
I would highly recommend Reptile Basics.
Re: Need Help On Selecting A Good Rack!!!
Thanks to everyone who posted, I really liked the comments and suggestions.:)
As for boaphile, I heard the guy was pretty rude sometimes and seemed to be "too busy" to talk to some of his customers, so that had a part in making me look at other racks.
I'm gonna try to go for RBI, I really like their racks and they've got some nice stuff, but I'm still browing around.
Re: Need Help On Selecting A Good Rack!!!
I'm guessing you already read this thread that I started http://www.ball-pythons.net/forums/s...d.php?t=119677
That all said -- if you can put up with the somewhat short and sometimes irritable personality of the owner, and you aren't in a big hurry, then I would probably go with Boaphile again.
I honestly don't have experience with any other racks, but I am loving this one. It is definitely not flimbsy like some people have said the Reptile Basics ones are. I actually can't believe it is made out of plastic -- it almost seems like some sort of metal -- it is solid.
They do have this rack that houses 16 & 32 qt tubs -- just seems like the heating would be kind of odd with the 32's since it is the long way http://www.boaphileplastics.com/rhin...sterilite.html
Good luck making a decision. I know it is overwhelming with all of the choices and I did quite a bit of research before I took the plunge.
Re: Need Help On Selecting A Good Rack!!!
all the racks that others post above are all great racks. the reptile basic sweaterbox racks I have problems with them sticking while sliding, resulting in spilling the water in the tubs. I have them on hard floors on wooden board strips. BUT the reptile basic cb-70 racks are great rack without any troubles at all. they are also stackable. there are things I'm going to try after breeding season to fix the sweaterbox racks. which will make them a great rack also.
Re: Need Help On Selecting A Good Rack!!!
i have the AP economy rack that holds 32q and 15q boxes and i LOVE it. I will probably be ordering more. Its very easy to assemble and find boxes for. I've also got an "unknown" rack probably RBI and a home made one that i bought from someone. i do love my unknown though, the tubs slide in and out so easy.
Re: Need Help On Selecting A Good Rack!!!
I would have to side with those going with the Animal Plastics. Boaphiles are great, but I like to put my extra money into acquiring nicer animals. I have 4 Animal Plastics and nearly a dozen that I custom-built. Even though I build custom furniture/cabinets and racks...I prefer to get mine ready to go. I have enough work in my snake room! :D
In all seriousness, the Animal Plastics seem to give me the most bang for my buck!

Holy crap! It takes that long to get em? Lol i was just about to order a rack (from AP) but i dont want to wait that long... im trying to get my bps out of tanks and into a rack setup asap. Is there anyway you can pay more for shipping to get em faster?
Re: Need Help On Selecting A Good Rack!!!
My best advice
DO YOUR RESEARCH
I think you'll find that Animal Plastics ends up on top
Re: Need Help On Selecting A Good Rack!!!
Tiff the 4 tub 28qt Rack from RBI (http://www.reptilebasics.com/iris-sw...back-heat.html) could be added these dividers (http://www.reptilebasics.com/sweater...-32-quart.html) which praticaly turns the rack into a 8 tub rack.
I cant justify buying a small tub rack unless you are breeding a certain amount of snakes every year. At least with the 28qt tubs you have some years untill some snakes outgrow them.
Re: Need Help On Selecting A Good Rack!!!
Hey Tiffy....I bought a Reptile Basics and I love it!! We actually just built our last rack and fashioned it after our Reptile Basics rack. The great thing about those is so far the reliability, the customer service and the fact that it is very light weight...(I can pick it up).
