Rescued abused BP need advice?

The sheds are him healing and replacing his skin-scales.

Considering the potential damage done to him, this is right on track for him to be doing.

I have rehabbed burned snakes and they go through a similar process, but the good sign is that he is healing.

Depending on his size, not sure I would advise trying to feed him, I have had burned snakes that have damaged internal tissue and will not feed till that is healed, this could be similar.

Just posting an update set up an appointment for the snake on monday and will update again after the visit thanks for all the advice and really hope he is ok and lives he is a wonderful snake and very sweet considering everything he's been through

how long has it been since...ya know...has happened to it?
it seems to be doing ok so far.
an X-ray is a must, and a full exam should be done. \
has it pooped/pee'd or eaten since the incident, how did the poo or pee look if so?
Any strange noises, lack of use of muscles in certain areas when crawlin?
uneven breathing (are all ribs rising and falling together)

these guys are pretty hardy, we treat them like big babies but dont forget they are built for the wild

She wouldn't tell me how long ago it happened but Ive been taking care of him for about 3 weeks but he was at another friends house the first 2 weeks of that time till i could make room for him in my house and he has been eating just fine but he's always been an aggressive eater um since Ive had him here and am able to watch him more closely he has pooped 2 times and both were kinda solid balls and hasn't peed since he has been at my house and no strange noises he has hissed a few times when i try to get a better look at his missing scales though and he's been crawling around just fine and breathing looks normal to me but he will get fully looked over on monday and i should post the update monday night after i get him home and comfortable

I am happy to hear that you are taking him in for a check up....that is a good thing as it is hard to assess internal damage. Always better safe than sorry!! As for the shed this is faily normal when a snake is hurt....it is their way of healing as others have stated. Also as someone else stated...no feeding until after the vet visit and you get the green light

Update time i just got back from the vet and the snake was a girl and very healthy no internal damage just a little underweight so i am gonna start feeding her twice a week but was wondering how to space it out cause her normal feeding day is saturday any advice?

Feeding the snake twice a week is a bit much. I had a juvi that I got a while back that is a little underweight, and I have him on a five day schedule. A lot of other people do that too, and a 5 day feeding schedule seems good.

It gives the snake time to digest, and at the same time will help put on the weight.
