    Assisting the old shed off is fine, but I see no reason why to need to do it for multiple days though?

    I use a 58qt sterilite tub but about any ole tub with a lid will work.
    I usually do 30 minutes in the tub starting with 85 degree water and replenish it after 30 minutes for another 30 minute soak.
    I put a hand towel in and place about 1 to 1 /2 inches of water and the snake and set my timer
    (in case you forget stuff like I do) lol

    After an hour soak the shed should slide off fairly easily :gj:

    Good thing you caught the respiratory issue!

    There's a sticky about assisting incomplete shed. I think most people use a damp towel or pillowcase something, rather than their thumb. Just hold it and let the snake work it's own way through it.

    i have done that a few time misting the snake down while doing it and i have also soaked them for a while it all works and aint going to hurt them at all
