pastel het x pastel het- super pastel genetic stripe.
i think this way would be the samrter to go. plus u can efford them now- super pastels and genetic stripes are not that expensive...
youre contradicting yourself, het to het gives you visuals and 66% hets......

if you bred a super pastel to a genetic stripe you would get 100% pastel het g.stripe, every single baby.
then if you bred those together everything you got that wasnt a visual genetic stripe would be 66% het g.stripe
with about 50% overall being pastels
but you could also get normals or the super pastel genetic stripe
Re: super genetic stripe.
If you take a super pastel all the off spring will all be pastels.
If you take an exibiting G stripe all the off spring will be Het for g strip (they carry the genes for G stripe)
If you take a Super pastel to an exibiting G strip then all of the offspring will be pastel Het for G stripe.
Grow out the babies and put the babies together. You will have a 1 in 4 chance of getting a super pastel and you have a 1 in 4 chance of getting a G Stripe. I may be wrong but I believe you have a 1 in 16 chance of a super pastel G stripe. All the offspring of a Het to Het, There is a 66% chanch they will be het for G Stripe. Remember tho that genitics are a crap shoot and because you should get 1 in 4 or 1 in 16 it doesnt always happen

ah ok- u meant in the 2nd breeding- ok than ure right. but in the first breeding u wouldnt get any possible hets.
so i think were both right...
and for the threadstarter: its not that hard.
u breed a super pastel to a genetic stripe. the super pastel is (co?-)dominat so all ur offspring will be pastels. the genetic stripe is rezessive. so all babys carry the gene for genetic stripe, but the do not express themself in the phenotype.
now u have a full litter of pastels het. genetic stripe.
when u breed them together, u get genetic stripes, pastel genetic stripes, super genetic stripes and normals.
but since u cant tell which one is het and which one is normal, u call them 66% possible het. that means that 2/3 babies are 100% hets and 1/3 is a normal
oh sorry guys- i havent read the whole threat- just read till" im confused again"- ok- now u got 3 times the same answer...lol

l
You actually have a chance of g stripe, normal, pastel, super pastel, pastel Gstripe ans super pastel g stripe.
Yes when you breed a het x het all the off spring are considered 66% pos het
Re: super genetic stripe.
yes ure right. ive forgotten the pastels and have written that u would get super genetic stripes- i ve forgot the pastel in between.
for the ts- there is no super genetic stripes- they doesnt exist- i made a mistake...
