another feeding question

OK, its been a week since I last tried and again -- no interest. I pre-scented with hair dryer, blasted the rat. He just avoids it. Now its been a month and the snake is obviously losing weight. I leave in rat overnight, but he has never eaten it that way. What I dont understand is that he has a history of good eating up until one month ago. So now do I go with live? Any suggestions?
