Nice rack. I like how you have room on top for another tank. Lovin your spider too.
Re: My new (and first :D) rack!
Awesome job, very professional looking !
I have a question about the heating, I see the Flexwatt plugs right into the wall, but what controls the temp...or are they plugged into someting else ? I see the box on the side with the cables coming out, I figure is a thermostat ? I am just wondering how it all works.
And one more question...the day / night cycle, how well can a rack be lighted durring the day to provide the light cycle ? It seems like it would be pretty dark in there all the time.
Sorry...Im a noob, just got my first BP a week ago. But I already want a couple more and am just curious how things work for controling multiple heat sources. I dont get an animal until I learn all I can about its needs, and know I can care for it properly...so I have many questions before I change setups from a simple aquarium to a rack like this, lol. :D ( Your room is great by the way, lol. ) Wish I had another room here I could do what I want with so my wife cant yell at me...I tried to take one of my kids' rooms, but she wouldnt let me, hahahaha.
P.S....how easy is to control the humidity in those ?
Thanks.

Nicely done. I think I'm going to go with black melamine soon too.
Re: My new (and first :D) rack!

Thanks! The flexwatt plugs into a thermostat which is plugged into a wall, so it is controlled that way. Ball Pythons don't really need a day/night cycle. In the wild, they would spend all their time in warm burrows underground, and only really come out at night. The light in my room and from the windows is really more than sufficient. It's suuuuper easy to control humidity in tubs. I set everything up without holes in the tubs, and then added them a few at a time to get it where I wanted, and there you go! Way easier than tanks :D
Re: My new (and first :D) rack!
That's a gorgeous rack and very much like what I'd like to build myself. Nice work!
Re: My new (and first :D) rack!
Looks great! Come build me one? :D I wish I was handy :(
