I imagine she meant to say aspen instead, and just typed in pine by accident. That's what I'm hoping, anyway. :weirdface

Ack! Oops! Yes I meant aspen!! I was so used to using pine when I had guinea pigs that's just what is embedded in my head.
Bought a big bag of the Petco brand aspen today. About to go do a full cage changing :)

Update: So yes the wrinkles were definitely from the shed...I came home, put the aspen in the cages, sprayed them all down with warm water and went and tinkered around the house a bit. I came back to check on them and sure enough, a big chunk of shed had come off of him and I could see the lovely high contrast underneath (he is a gorgeous snake!). It hasn't all come off and I'll see how he is in the morning. Maybe the new bedding will help with the process rather than just the paper towels :)

LOL Jim, it's funny you say that, because I was lookin at that pic and thinkin "wow, that angle makes him look horribly skinny!" and I was actually going to post that in the post where I put the pic, but no he's actually a lil chunker!!
There's still some stuck shed on him, he got the majority of it off. He's in a bad mood today (not unusual for him...lil poophead is pretty but he's a pissy one) and since the eye caps are off I decided to leave him be today and I'm gonna try the wet pillowcase method tomorrow when I have an extra set of hands.
I lucked out actually. All 4 of my snakes are VORACIOUS eaters. I swear they'd eat every day if I let them. With my pastel I can't even barely get it in her tub before she's wrapped around it. None of them have ever refused a meal.
Like I said earlier in the thread, this is the first "problem" I've had with any of them! All have had clean sheds, eat great and have been growin like weeds!!
