    I use Aspen have less of a chance of mites. As far as feeding gos i worried about the same thing u are so i feed in a box if u have another tank that will work to but i use a cardboard box for feeding. humidity problems for aspen is only if u are using a heat lamp an under tank heater u will have no problem and u can spray it down every day and plants help to.:)

    um. in all reality, i do believe that newspaper is alot more messier then aspen. aspen all you have to do is spot clean and then do a full cdleaning once a month. it holds humidity great, and at any tractor supply store you can get a compacted bag of 9cubic feet for only 10 dollars. and believe me that will last you a long time.
