male vs. female

I would say males definitely. Oh wait, are we talking about people? :D Oh, maybe snakes...;)

females are more aggressive all the way case in point i use to have an adult female that was close to 6 foot long only time she was somewhat tamed down was when she had a clutch in her coils other then that anything that moved she struck at. dont get me wrong she would still protect her eggs with all she had but unless you touched her while on the eggs her attention stayed with the eggs. and most females guard there eggs. yes you might find a male here and there that is aggressive. but on a whole females all turn aggressive even if it is just at incubation time.

i got 2 captive born females both less then a year old and both of them are biters and to think i got these 2 for my 4 year old son at the Kalamazoo show last month. yes i know more then likely they will calm down given some time and regular handling. i think it's kind of funny cause my son can hold my almost year old blood and no worries of being bitten well unless he does something to hurt the snake and make it bite him also the blood is a female but it is close to a year old so it has packed on some size and knows even though my son is always pecking on its cage

but at the same time i think allot of it has to do with age of the snake as babies they are driven to eat to grow quicker so when young most will bite anything that makes sudden or jerky motions in front of them not being mean but thinking it is food or out of defense to keep from getting eaten themselves

From what I have learned a female is when she has just laid. Other than that all BPs seem to have personalities based on the particular snake.

I have a female BP that is around 9 months old. The only time my girl is aggressive is when I place her in the container I feed her in. She knows's it's on then. She used to lay low in there until I offered her the mouse, but now she raises her head out and is waiting on me...kinda like hurry up! Other than that, she's pretty calm.
