Why did you think he was a male in the first place? Was he popped male before you bought him? If it pops male its 100% male, if it doesn't pop male, doesn't mean its a female as males can "hold it in".

The biggest problem beginner poppers have IMO, is they place their thumb too close to the coacla so that they don't adequately "push" the hemipenes out as they start too far forward.

So I tried to pop and wasnt sure if I was doin it right and I didnt wanna hurt Djinn.. How far back from the coacla shuold I start with my thumbs?
    Thank you in advance

The advice given is good but make sure you don't over do it. If you can't get it after a few tries one day let him/her rest until the next day and try again.

If he is a he, most of the times, even poping not exactly as you should do it, you will get at least sperm plugs with a male that size if you have an idea on how to pop.

With larger bps, popping can be trickier. If it was me, I'd tend to leave it as a male, just because it's hard to mis sex a male. Whether popping or probing, if you're getting that its a male, its a male.

However sexing females isn't 100%. They can hold their hemipenes, and if you probe and don't go in all they way, you can get false positives for a female.

That being said, if they just sexed it as a random guess or buy the size of the spurs or some other random parameter, then it could be wrong. Best bet is to find a local breeder who can show you.

Popping and probing aren't hard, but are one of those things that's best demonstrated with someone who knows what they're doing. Videos are good, but they don't beat a real live person able to help you.
