    i think if u paint it let it air for like 48 hours then i think it would be okay but paint the outside only lol

    and put tape over the air holes so the paint doesnt get into the cage

    You don't really need to paint it. I made a little three sided barrier for my tubs when they weren't in a rack out of cardboard.

    In my experience, clear bins are fine. I did that just because he was a hatchling in a new environment. He grew out of it though.

    Or you could just put the bin in a dark place, like a closet.
