    Turns out my Betty has quite the attitude, and strikes or rattles her tail when I get too close. I've been leaving her alone for the most part, but putting my hand against the tub frequently... seems to be helping, as she was more curious than frightened when I did it tonight. Once she seems more comfortable with my presence, I'll start handling her on a daily basis (5-10 minutes). Sound like a good plan? Good news is that she ate last week, striking at a live hopper the second I threw it in! :gj:

    P.S. I weighed her before feeding, and she was around 62g... about the same size as my boy Scout (reverse okeetee), who was born last summer.
