    Albinos when they are going into shed still get a very pink belly. Also, instead of blue eyes, their eyes turn very silver and almost look reflective.

    While this is a very good practice for all ball pythons during a shed cycle, it does not always work for Albinos or Hypos, or any crosses with the above mentioned genes. My theory on this is based on there being a reduced amount of melanin in those animals. Over the years, I have noticed that animals with very little or no black pigmentation, have thinner skin (from observation of sheds). Very dark animals (such as Sables, VooDoos, choclates, etc) that appear to have increased amounts of melanin seem to have thicker skin. So, sometimes Hypos and Albinos have tough sheds no matter the humidity. I have had excellent sheds from both morphs, but they are more prone to troubles than others.

    my albino eyes are usually red but i can tell when hes about to go in shed because they turn a cloudy pink.
