    now i feel left out, i never noticed so I took out my albino vs a few of my other balls... all feel the same to me. im intrested in this tho.

    The only difference I feel in skin texture with mine is between the balls kept in tubs and those kept in terrariums. The ones kept in the tubs have much softer (silkier?) skin than the ones in the terrariums.

    Hmmmm why do you think that is? Difference in substrate? Hides?

    That is something I'd like to explore a little more

    Some Blue eyed Lucy's have different scales. Smaller and rougher.

    Same substrate (cypress) in both enclosures. I believe that because the humidity is better maintained in a tub, the snakes housed this way don't have issues with dry skin. That's my best guess, anyway.

    You know I personaly have never noticed.. yet not to long ago gave my wife a hard time because she holds a friends albino every time we are at her house, and she said she likes the way he feels. I told her she was crazy, hope she doesnt read this I may have to appoligize.....

    You think thats weird, feel a pinstripe.. They feel completely different. They even look like they have more "rough" scales.
