    Honestly if all you heard was whistling and he is in or has just recently shed, then it is probably not an RI.

    Keep an eye on him. I wouldn't give him any antibiotics unless you are POSITIVE the snake has an RI. No reason to poke a snake with needles that isn't sick!

    :) He will most likely be just fine. If you can, up the temperature by a degree or two.

    ps I regret ever saying that thing about the antibiotics now. In all honesty I wasn't even remotely considering doing it. My bf was being kinda pushy about using them and I wanted you lot to come in and defend my point of view :) Don't worry about it, we're not gonna do it.
