This has pretty much been mentioned but being a finance guy, I'll put it in simple economics. The higher demand, the higher the price. You need more females so demand for females is higher which means their price is higher. I'm not sure why this isn't the case for a few morphs but it is the case for most.

The only time this isn't the case is with a new mutation. When there are only a handful of a new mutation (like Matt's GHI for example) the males will be more and less males are released, because a male will be ready to go sooner than a female.

A female will be less, because it will take at least twice as long for the female to be ready to go and start replicating herself.

Eventually, as more become available in the market, the pricing shifts to the female being more than the male.

BG thinks it's sexual discrimination. BG is gonna sue.:D

Search BG's thousands of posts, he has the reason in there somewhere. Looks like some people may have stole his thoughts on this thread though. Smart people by the way.;):D:D:D

Not all females are more, higher end co-dom morph males go for more. They can breed so much sooner and pass on their genetics quicker. That quickly can change.

Recessive females always have a bid, you need them to get your visual phenotypes.

Look at whats for sale on the two big web markets, its 80% males. That sorta speaks to it. The difference is probably only going to get bigger.
