While this is true, I don't see a whole lot of my gravid/pregnant Ball female died before giving birth/laying eggs.

Nothing against Boas, as I have some and breed them, but there are plusses and minuses in both species.

Not to mention, as was already stated, an endless string of "my snake won't eat" threads. I think I just counted 5 or 6 on the first page alone. There should be a section for that alone with it's own stickies. I love my boas...:gj:

I agree, lol. Either way there are positives and negatives to either species of snake, everyone has their favorite. Not nice to bash either or. I have both, but boas are definatly my favorite.

I have boas and balls both, Keep my boa so I have something that has an awesome personality, got into balls for the paint jobs. Dont get me wrong love them both but my red tail is far more social and I dig that.

have to agree both of my boas are GREAT eaters compared to my BP's ..... Actually might pick up an Albino Boa next saturday at the Oaks Show

I enjoy my boa even for a rescued from under a proch over 5 years ago she ate just about everytime. only refused once cause she was in shed( so blue grey she looked like she was paitnted.

Outside that if it had fur and she can she grabs at it ( just ask one or 2 og mom dumb cats when I am trying to clean or allow herto strech out some ( a 6+ft snake in a 4ft long cage that prefers to layon the bp shelves ) I can say she is the only snake that never bitten me. I just wish I was able to handle her more and all being disable ( does make it a bit harder at times)

I love my two Royals, they both have a great personality and are friendly. But....I absolutely adore my boas. I have two RTBs, a BRB, and a Rosy and they are, without a doubt, my most favorite snakes. My RTBs are so sweet and gentle, my BRB is silly cute with a huge curious streak and my Rosy is such a darling. All of my boas just gobble down their food. My male Royal gobbles his food, too, but my female is horrible. Right now she's going on about 20 days, which isn't that long, but it still frustrates me to no end.

Of course, my Corns and Milk are disposals, too. The only one I'm having trouble with is Eve (Amel), who is currently in pre-lay shed. She's refused every meal for almost 45 days now. >.< I sure hope that once she lays, she'll gobble down a tasty mouse. :D

You don't have to tel this to Big Gunns. Nobody knows this as well as BG. If you have enough boas you're gonna have heartache almost every single year. This heartache is way worse than a Ball that won't eat.

It took BG 6 years to talk about one such heartache. Just the name Scoria boa would make BG sick to his stomach until very recently. BG still has a hard time talking about it.:tears::tears::tears:

By the way. There was no such thing as a Scoria boa(no name yet) 6 years ago, but that didn't mean they didn't exist.:tears::tears::tears::tears:
