A "few" questions from the newbie

I stopped feeding by hand after I'd been bit twice - once by a corn and once by a ball python.

As for regular checkups, you don't need to do that. You might take it to the vet once to have a fecal done.

Sounds like your getting a lot of good feedback. As far as between as spider and a mojave I would say if your thinking about breeding in the future look at what you'd like to produce and what you would need to make those combos. If your not planning on it pick which ever you think looks cooler. Spiders are known for wobbling so you should read into that a little if you decide to get the spider.

Thanks, I'm really hyped, I think I'm leaning toward the Spider again so depending what's in stock I'll probably go with that. I love Wild type Balls and the Mojave's but there's just something about those Spiders

Okay looked it up, huh that's weird is this something that's a big distraction or will make them live shorter, dumb question I'm sure. Everyone keeps recommending them to me so they must have something everyone likes? IS this snake still a keeper.

Its just a quirk. I have not had them live shorter lives because of it.

All spiders have it, but they do have varying degrees of it. Mine wobbles a bit when he goes to strike his food, which causes him to miss often, and (since he won't eat f/t yet) he's been bitten twice, but not severely. I think it's better for them to be on f/t or prekilled, but getting them there is a pain :rolleyes: I've heard that every morph has something wrong with them, but we don't know half of it. Some are more prone to getting kinks, some get the duck bill, it's just a part of messing with genetics, I think. I'm sure if you talk to Brian he'll tell you if the Spiders for sale have a bad wobble or not. :)

They don't "prefer" small enclosures, but they do fine in them. That's like saying people prefer smaller houses. We deal with them, but we don't prefer them.

The spider wobble is not a problem in feeding and breeding a snake unless its a very bad case. Well thats what i've learned from this site and the rest of the web anyway.

If your just going for a display snake your mates could be a bit wierded out by it. It can make it look like it has a problem with it IMO

My bee wobbles and my girlfriend hates it when he does it.

But i personally dont mind it. He doesn't wobble all the time, the majority of the time he appears to be completely fine. He mostly does it if he's stressed or feeding and tends to sort him self within 30 seconds or so. For the most part his head movements are odd when he is roming (would of had to had experience with BPs before to notice) and head shakes during feeding.

Okay, yeah I talked to Lorie I think at BHB and she said they don't have a problem with it, but I'll talk to Brian again before I get one. Funny I never knew morphs had there own problems. Anyway you guys have been so helpful thanks.
