A Petco recently opened in my area and a friend of mine got a pic while he was visiting. He said he counted 26 babies in one enclosure. :weirdface

BG doubts he was, but where do you think "Water Dragons" live? BG was at Australia zoo and guess what was all over the park....sand..... and Water Dragons. It was pretty cool actually...they were running all over the place.

People worry that babies will get impacted, but if you use the correct sand there's really no problem. Like BG said, it is what they live on in the wild.

Hold on a second. Your friend took this pic and didn't get arrested and taken directly to jail? Lucky him huh.:D

I've taken pics in various pet stores and never been given a second glance. Most of the time, I'm getting a pic of something I want to show to someone back home and get their opinion on it. Usually it's a coral or fish, but still... same principle.

Big Gunns bets that if we do this and get pics from all over the country..... one of our good buddies(the media) will pick up the story.

I haven't been in a PETCO in years, but if they are still the same there is nobody in the reptile section anyway.

Sand is probably the #1 thing bearded dragons are kept on. Never had a problem myself.

Petco does not carry australian water dragons.

They do carry chinese water dragons.

It is cool though how at the Australia Zoo the aussie water dragons just run around everywhere like they own the place, it made me think of "scaley squirrels".

Big Gunns has been to China...and guess what....there's sand there.:D

It reminds me of when people ask "is this a Spotnose"?(greatest ball name ever) ..... just because their ball has a "spot" on it's nose. Just because it's called a "water dragon" it doesn't mean it can't live on sand.

    Hold on a second. There's a fish that's called a "Stargazer". Shouldn't they live in the sky?:D
