    I sure hope it does.

If I were there I'd have clapped for you, and then thanked the manager (publically) for employing such a passionate person that knows their stuff and actually cares for the animals.

They should feel grateful to have you -- a dedicated, active employee looks very good on their store. How often do we read posts about clueless and apathetic pet store workers? And how often do we repeat that we'd never shop there?

If anything negative ever comes down the pipes about this incident, just point them in this direction so they can read such posts for themselves -- and then decide what type of rep they want their employees giving their business; caring passionate and knowledgeable, or clueless lazy and stupid?

And if it’s not been said already; You *snap* Go *snap* Girl! *triple-snap*

Thank you, very much. You'd be amazed on how many animals, expecially reptiles that are given to us that are just in the most horrific condition. I just snapped, he had crossed that line and it made it worse because he showed no sign of remorse or that he even cared at all. We are a small family owned store, and I hate reading all these stories about these pet stores that have employees with no experience and know absolutely nothing about how to care for this animals properly.

Everyone who works at this store has been there for over 4 years, worked there since we were kids. We all have a passion for different animals, whether it be fish, reptiles, dogs/cats, rodents, birds etc etc. We care, and love our pets as our own when they come to us. We do what we can to give them the best of homes.

    Agian, thank you very much.

I agree. I felt absolutely amazing after I got done yelling at him, besides the fact I was shaking so bad! I don't care how big you or, how much of a badass you think you are. If you treat an animal like they are trash, I will treat you like trash.

    End of story.

It's very rare for me to support anger and yelling in general. But once in a while, I think it's a good thing.

Frankly, I'm glad you made a scene and stood up to this person. I hope everyone else in the store figured out what was going on. Animal abuse and neglect is a HORRIBLE thing and should be called out far more often that it is.

That being said, yes you risked your job but... you know what? Sometimes, something comes along that is more important than a job...

Thank you for standing up and speaking up.

He said he could no longer keep it, he set it down and just walked out before I could get his information.

    This snake had.
    1. Mites.
    2. 2 Layers of stuck shed, and he was IN shed agian.
    3. Severly under-weight (this animal was 6ft long and as skinny as my wrist, which is pretty small)
    4. He had RI.
    5. Incredibly weak, and dehydrated.

We had to get the animal put down, the vet said he hadn't seen a snake in this bad of condition in years and he was already to far gone to really try anything to nurish him back to health. I started crying, it was horrible.

Anyways. This man, who dropped the snake off just happened to come into my work just as I clocked out. I don't get intimadated easily, and mind you this man was 6'3 and a good 250lbs pounds of muscle. He seen me coming and he just smiles and says "Hows the snake doing" All I could say was "Are you KIDDING ME, what is WRONG with you?" I went OFF, I don't normally have a mean bone in my body but I chewed him apart. My manager had to come over and pull me into the back room as that pathetic piece of trash just stood there trying to stare me down with a smirk on his face.

Nothing deserves to be treated that way, these animals rely on us to take care of them. I don't understand how someone could do such a thing.

Good job :gj:.I bet the idiot has no clue why you yelled at him .

I don't normally support it either, like I said, I don't really have a mean bone in my body but that was out of line and someone needed to at least attempt to straighten him out.

No, you are right he probably doesn't. But I sure hope someday the way he treats animals comes around and bits him in the butt.

GREAT JOB! The guy deserved much worse. There are to many people who would just sit back and bite their tongue, but you did the RIGHT thing! Your reaction is how EVERYONE who works with animals should react. :gj::bow:
