It's great, you'll love it. Summertime in Alaska is absolutely the most beautiful time and place ever. Alaska has some of the best outdoor activities in the world.
I know I can't wait. My wife just got a mt. bike and mine is in the shop for a tune up right now. I can't wait for those outdoor activities.

Re: Anyone in Alaska?
I'm from AK, the summers are really nice up here, I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
Honestly there aren't that much earthquakes here, I haven't notice much at least XD. I haven't felt a LARGE quake in many years so no worries.
We have a ball python breeder here in Anchorage, I haven't met him (I bought mine from Petco before joining this site).
We also have a few mice/rat breeders here too, I get mine from a lady across from my work who breeds mice/crickets/mealworms/etc. Live rats are illegal to breed/sell in Anchroage but there is a Rat breeder in the valley if you prefer to use rats.
Overall, if you like scenery, you'll enjoy AK. The winter isn't that bad as some people may make it seem, I just went through our last winter without any snow tires ftw.
Weather is a little unpredictable, it is snowing right now (lightly) but we are supposed to move in to spring =P. Nothing new though.
Let me know if you have any other questions!
