Yup, it's an amel. As for food sizes, feed something that is ~1.5x the width of the snake's widest part of its body. If its a little less that's OK, but try to avoid anything much bigger. Feed it this prey size once a week until you can no longer see a lump, then move up to the next prey size.

So if its on fuzzies now, feed it a fuzzy. If you see a noticeable lump then keep feeding fuzzies until you don't see a lump, then bump up to hoppers and repeat. Then small mice, etc. I stop at large/jumbo mice. Even if there's no lump an adult corn doesn't need more than a jumbo mouse.

Alright, thanks everybody for the advice...as well as confirming the morph. The day I picked him up, I met with a lady through craigslist to buy a few tanks off her for dirt cheap. She seemed to know what she was talking about, and she only had to glance at him before she said he was an Amel haha. But, I thought it wise to double check with everybody here. So thanks again :)

    Regards,

Well I just weighed him, and he's exactly 70g...so according to that link to cornsnakes.com he should've graduated from fuzzies apparently.

Don't get too hung up on weights. The only time I pay attention to weights is with breeding females and snakes that aren't feeding normally.

Follow the guide I posted and you'll be golden. I'd start him with a fuzzy, and look at the lump or lack there of. If there isn't one or its barely noticeable, then move to hoppers.

I fed him a fuzzy the other day, and it was pretty difficult to see a lump after 20 minutes (The time I left him to feed).

    Then feed him a hopper.
