We are working with the VPI line Axanthics. But I can tell you that I have seen great examples of all the lines. Me I like the VPI because of the adults I've seen seem to hold their look. With that said I'm sure that all lines have adults that look like crap and some that look GREAT!

I personally prefer the VPI line.

i have 1.1 hets that have breed for the first time this year, mom is starting to build and so is my excitement. Fingers are crossed for little silver and blacks.

Here is a pic of my four year old male VPI Axanthic breeding a Spider last year.
And his color is still holding strong this year.

I currently have two VPI axanthic males, and soon 2 or 3 het VPI axanthic/poss het albino females. Both of the males are holding their colour very well around 500g, and I am not expecting them to brown out much at all. I can't wait to breed them, as I've always loved the look of axanthics. I'm already excited just thinking seeing the little shiny silver and black ball pythons emerging from their eggs.

Anyway, to get back to more of what the OP was interested in, I can usually tell SK line from VPI line axanthics when I see them, and I generally prefer members of the VPI line, though there are nice examples of both. There have also been a few others (NERD's line for example) that came from wild-caught animals that are compatible with VPI's line, so it may be a good idea to try to locate animals from two of the different founding animals in order to outbreed it a bit. I also believe there is at least one other example like that which is compatible with the SK line, though I am less certain about that.

I think it depends on what you want them for. I am going to say the VPI line probably consistantly produces the most silver looking babies, and probably overall stay the nicest looking as adults. I think the SK line is probably a close second, as far as hatchling coloration and adult looks. I have never seen a Jolliff line Axanthic that I would want, however, it seems that the Jolliff line produces banded individuals, which might be kind of cool to some.

I have no data to back up the following, and it is just my opinion: The VPI line probably makes the best Snows, but I think the Axanthic lines that brown out more, might make the nicest looking True Ghosts.
