I leave animals in 6qt tubs till the are about 500 grams..then they get moved to a 28 qt tub till they are 1500+ grams then they go to a 41 qt.

I've seen moving them up to soon causes feeding issues. I leave them in the 6 qt till I have to take their water out to let them eat..then its time to move them up..

in a few weeks I can get hatchlings to 200 grams 6qts are fine for BPs to 500 gram.

Personally, I couldn't fit a 500g in a 6qt tub with a hide and a water dish, there would be literally no room for either the water dish, hide or snake. I could understand leaving a 500g BP in a 15qt tub, but a 6 qt tub? I don't even think my 500g bps alone would fit in a 6qt tub comfortably, with nothing else in there.

I weighed my 09s last night in my RBI baby rack 6 qt. all were between 400 to 500g,no hide they dont need one in a 6 qt.. growing good, everybody keeps them like that,500g aint that big. They like it tight & cramped thats what make them thrive, keep them in some thing too big thats when you have issues.

To each their own :) I personally like to give my snakes at least one hide if they choose to use it.
