Kona is very pretty also, but her colors are not quite as rich (or the lighting in the pic is not quite as good).
Thank you! He has stunning blue eyes too. My boys are so special to me that when they kick the bucket I'll have their ashes turned into diamonds. Bandit's will be a blue one because of his gorgeous eyes, and Tommy's will be amber/yellow due to his loving golden yellow eyes. Did you all know about Life Gems? :)
p.s. I must be a weirdo, I think I've posted this twice on the internet now.

That's actually a cute name. :D Oh, and I thought Popcorn was the cat's name... got that all backwards in my last post!

I believe you that Kona has changed in color. It took about 2 years for Bandit's dirt mark to come in. Did Kona's markings get darker from when she was a kitten?
Oh boy, did they ever! I met her the day she was born (it was a friend's "oops" litter), and she was solid white... started to get her points around 3-4 weeks, but the full coloring didn't show for over a year. Now that she's getting old, the gray is starting to set in, and she's fading out a little. How old is Bandit?

Re: A corn and a cat...
My sister used to have a cat that was similar to Bandit and Kona, but not as dark as either one. Might be part of what I like about Bandit so much, because the lighter colors on the top of his head and on his shoulder remind me more of my sister's cat. Anyway, she too went through a big color change. I wonder what the official name for this cat coloration is?
The LifeGems thing is a neat idea. I guess in some ways it is kind of creepy, but much nicer than people who carry around a little bottle of ashes still in ash form. The gemstones are pretty and the source would make them very special. (I have trouble calling them diamonds since they are created artifically, even though I know they are the same.) The price is a bit outrageous though!

I use flat newspaper for my pythons, but the corns who like burrowing get Carefresh.
My corns burrow under the newspaper. Give them 5 or 6 layers or more and they will figure out a way under it.
In fact, they prefer the newspaper to the aspen. I experimented with aspen by tossing a couple handfuls on top of the paper and they still burrow under the paper under the aspen.

Re: A corn and a cat...
In my case corns and cats don't mix very well. See the 3 dots? Those are scars from when he got out of his cage and one of my cats found him before I did:

Thanks for the tip. :gj: A few of my BPs like to burrow under the paper, and one of them will even push the paper into his hide - guess he likes double security, LOL. Maybe I'll try giving the corns newspaper from now on, since I really don't like dealing with actual substrate.

Cyrus the Persian, on the other hand, is a lazy old man with bad hunting skills.

It was kind of comical. Chloe came into the kitchen with Ember, dropped him at my feet, showing off her prey as cats are wont to do. My reaction was mixed - good kitty, you found him! Coupled with OMG, need to get him away from the cat!
I picked up Ember and he bit me! Poor thing, he was freaked out for hours after that.
Here's a picture of Phoenix peeking out from under the paper:
