Anyone know of free antivirus programs?

I would also recommend trying Sandboxie. It isn't a anti-virus/spyware/malware program in that it doesn't try to block them. It traps them and prevents them from getting out onto your computer, then you can have it erase them. Read up on it... http://www.sandboxie.com/

I've been using AVG for a long time, never had an issue.

This is actually a very good program, most people in the Tech Community swear by it as far as Free Anti-Virus Programs go.

I second everyone who suggested Avast, ive used it for quite awhile and never had any problems :)

I would say Avast, but I am no EXPERT!!!

The best thing about NOD32 is it's extremely low impact on system resources. There are more comprehensive protection programs out there with a scope that is larger than what you're at risk from via web browsers, but for keeping you safe from viruses, trojans, and the like, NOD32 is pretty bulletproof. If I was going to purchase an Anti-Virus I would choose the Kaspersky and consider the NOD32 you mention.

I downloaded Sandboxiie and WOT "Web of Trust for Firefox" as added protection to my Avast, Spybot & Ad-Aware.

I think I'm pretty well protected. :8:
