Re: Snake Sitters
Planning vacations in the spring/summer are always fun. This forum is a great resource for finding folks to help out - especially if you've gotten to meet them outside the forum.
Last year I had a girl due to lay ANY DAY before I was to leave town. Well, she didn't, and so I asked Trey (mxrider42) to PLEASE check her for me and put her eggs in the incubator if she laid while I was gone (she did and he did).
He also is my "rat sitter" for me, since I don't have a gravity watering system, and he'll come check water bottles for me every few days and food for the rats. I don't ask him to do anything with the snakes, I know they'll be fine, even if they've made a mess, until I get back from my trip.
Trey's my hero!!!!! :wuv:

Re: Snake Sitters
I totally get it. Prior to getting our snakes whenever we traveled I always had someone come and house sit. I did not want the paw paws to be all alone all night. I did not like the idea of someone coming over in the AM and feeding them and then just letting in at night. Even more so now....I know they would be fine....but me...I would feel better to have someone here.

Thanks for the peace of mind everyone! I'm a sap when it comes to our critters. :D.
This will be the first time in 5 years our dog Toda will be without one of us home too. He has major separation anxiety that has just recently subsided.
