    Re: pam in rat enclosures?
well i decided im going to do a little experiment with the pam in rat and mice enclosures, since no one really seems to have a straight forward answer. next time i clean the enclosures im going to treat them with pam and see if it effects any of rodents in anyway.

if i remember correctly ralph davis i think uses pam around the doors of his facility and he mentioned that hell come in the morning and see dead bugs laying everywhere. so i dont believe that just because they are rodent mites that they are immune to the pam. i believe it will kill the mites i just need to see what the effects, if any, will be to my rodents.

when i get to a conclusion of this little test i will let everyone know the results and therefore bring an answer to this unanswered question :)

thank you all for your replies.

i know ralph davis uses\used it in his rat bins since he knew they had rat lice(they are no harm to the snakes but he didnt like the fact they were there)so he pamed the tubs a few times till the lice were gone. Dunno if he still does that but i know he did at one point with good results. Also if its been mentioned already thats my bad :gj:

    Two things
    1) we have had success with lice spray from WM for rat mites. The spray that you spray furniture with.
    2) We never spray tubs that house the rats we intend to feed to the snakes. We do not want the possibility of a snake ingesting spray from the rat rubbing against the tub side.
