So at least the doctor sees that the Fortaz has some effect according to the Culture/Sensitivity, which is good.

The good thing about it again is that it works on Anaerobes, bacteria that live in low oxygen environments, such as deep in the lungs.

As well as provides an even more broad spectrum, at the same time, working synergistically to combat the infection.

So yesterday I call the Veterinarians office to ask about combo-ing the Amikacin with some Ceftazidime. Doc. Is receptive to this idea but needed some time to check on a couple of things so the girl at the front desk promises to call me back with an answer. The girl at the front desk calls me back to say that the Ceftazidime is something they don’t normally keep on hand and that they will need to order it for me. So she gives me the price (very expensive) and I give her my official oky doky. So as soon as we receive the Ceftazidime (should be today maybe) and start this treatment I will be sure to give an update on how the Borneo responds to this treatment.
