Re: betting snakes in regards to the superbowl.
To me, my snakes are my pets first and foremost and I do not consider them "living cash". I would never bet a live animal for anything, even if I was confident I'd win.
Re: betting snakes in regards to the superbowl.
I wouldn't do it personally but I don't see any harm in it. It's not that much different than a trade.

A few people on the dog forum I am on are betting stud services on the game. They also raffle straws and services at shows. its an interesting and clever way to get your bloodline and name out there

i dont see anything wrong with it, people trade snakes for things all the time from cars to services. if someone was willing to bet a snake they most likely would be willing to trade or sell the same snake. when a bet is made a value is put on what you put on the line, same as when you put a price on a bp for sale. if its wrong to bet them its wrong to sell them imo
Re: betting snakes in regards to the superbowl.
I see nothing wrong with it if your betting or putting up snakes you already have on the market for sale as it is. Who's to say its bad to bet a snake for sale but yet say its okay to take money for it. Goes both ways

I wouldn't personally do it, but you make a valid point. Also as long as both parties can provide proper housing/husbandry...why not?
