Re: A question for Professional Piercers
I'm a professional piercer. Have been for ~10 years now.

What type of jewellery does she have in?
Is she actually using listerine or did I read that wrong?

Here's what I recommend to all my customers....

1/4 teaspoon sea salt mixed with 8ounces of warm water. (i recommend just making a large bottle of it and keeping it around)

Fill a shot glass with the solution, bend over and place your belly button in the shot glass. stand up and keep the glass pressed against your navel. Do this 2-3 times a day for 5mins each time. Clean off any discharge (scabs, puss) with a qtip soaked in the solution. DO NOT pick the scabs off. Just be sure they come off easily. DO NOT rotate your jewellery. This causes irritation to the piercing and could push discharge back inside.

Edit: just read the whole thread. Thank god she isn't using listerine on her navel. haha

Edit 2: H2Ocean is just sea salt water in a spray bottle. My friend used to work in their warehouse. There's nothing special about it and the same solution can be made for MUCH cheaper than purchasing it.

Re: A question for Professional Piercers
Im no professional by an stretch of the imagination, however, Ive seen a lot of girls have problems with a belly button piercing. My ex girlfriend especially. Hers also took a long time to heal and after it finally did, her body basically rejected the piercing, causing it to push out. It eventually got so close to the edge she just took it out. She re-pierced it but it did the same thing. Sometimes the body just doesnt want you to do things! Her body could also be rejecting it. Ive seen it with a few other girls that I went to school with. Just a guess..
