Re: Picking out a Mojave.
You can also do what I did, study the Hunter's Guide to Morphs at the top of the page here, then pick the one that just "speaks" to you, for lack of a better term.
I was fortunate to find my beautiful girl at a show, she is in my opinion a classic example of the morph, and has beautiful coloring.
This is my Kina:

Re: Picking out a Mojave.
I like the lighter colored mojaves, with high yellow dorsal patterning, and color running from darker up top to lighter along the sides down to the belly.
Here are a few I produced last year (all sold).
http://i491.photobucket.com/albums/r...l/IMGP3226.jpg This one is sweet, lots of faded coloration on the sides and the yellow on the back stands out.
http://i491.photobucket.com/albums/r...l/IMGP3176.jpg This shows a Sulfur Mojave on the left, and a normal Mojave on the right. The normal Mojave is a bit dark, but has nice yellows and alot of faded coloring as you move from the back to the belly.

Buy the look you like, but I prefer high yellow dorsal coloring, lighter overall color, and alot of faded and blushing along the sides.

Re: Picking out a Mojave.
Maybe I'm missing something here, but are you asking which Mojave to buy? What coloring, what patterns, etc? Well, that's like asking womeone to tell you which person to take as a husband /wife. Go to the show. Look around. Take notes about what you like and don't like. Then buy what you like the most.
You can't ask someone else what snake to buy. There are no guidelines. You need to find the snake that YOU like.
Sorry,
Jim Smith
Re: Picking out a Mojave.
I think you are missing something Jim. I think it is a fair question to ask, regarding what characteristics to look for when buying a Mojave, or any other morph.

Those are all sweet looking Majaves to me. :O That's what I will probably look for when I go. I like the high yellows as well.
