Oh I've been addicted for a few years, it's just that only recently due to new found financial....well, SOMEWHAT stability; that I've been able to renew the passion.
Back in 2003 my best friend had 2 normals and he came to a point where due to the condition of the home he and his family were living, he felt he wasn't providing for the snakes as he would like to so he told me I could have them. I ended up keeping them for six or eight months until the point when Hurricanes Charlie and Frances hit florida.
neither was what you'd think of as particularly devastating to my area.
except for the fact that Frances, while not damaging as far as wind, just hung out over the state in seemingly one spot for so long that we got enough rain to make the water back up in all of the tubs, sinks and toilets throughout my house to the point where I woke up one morning to an inch of water on my bedroom floor.
Long story short, we literally got kicked out of our house because it was too unhealthy to remain there. lived in a hotel for 9 months during home renovations/repair, which didn't allow animals so I had to give the snakes back to my friend and he eventually sold them out of financial necessity.
So now I'm making up for lost time! :D

I'm glad you can finally get back into the hobby. I was stuck in Florida for Francis. I was in Daytona Beach getting my son set up at Embry Riddle. That was an amazing storm. Didn't want to leave Florida.
Good Luck!
