kind of a bad pic though on the bottom i realized it after the fact. but again, very easy to mix up ;)
I dont see the color or pattern of a fire and also All the fires I have seen have a light spot on their head. That one doesn't look like a fire at all to me. I hope you have a pair of them to prove it is a fire by producing a BEL otherwise I think you got ripped off and in the future you will sell other normals as fires because you think on average half your offspring will be fires.

Re: guess which is which...again, sorry sarin haha
its actually a pic I found on the internet of just fires that I searched.
I personally think fires are slightly over-rated. I love the super, but they really are just a nice looking normal in my opinion thats kinda why I made this thread. But heres the thing, I LOVE normals lol. Its currently all I own, and one pastel male. In no way am I saying this morph is nothing special, but there are a lot of other morphs out there that I think I would rather buy(my opinion). When mixed with the proper morph they really do enhance almost everything about the other gene and create beautiful animals. I'm just saying I'm always seeing fires on kingsnake that just look like normals to me, but regardless of the fact they are indeed fires. I think they can be easy to mix up at a young age. Its weird though, some Fires are absolutely stunning and theres no way you can really mix it up, but a lot do have a normal "looking" appearence and to the novice eye it can be challenging to tell the big difference. I think the adults are a lot easier to tell apart in terms of fires and normals. Pretty hard to mistake the two of them.

that looks pretty normal to me...
no head marker, color is average, and pattern could VERY easily just be normal.

this one is a good example of a fire, but still I have seen normals that look as nice as this. Again, NO head marker. Beautiful coloration and pattern. I'm mostly arguing that the to the untrained eye it can be hard. Still a beautiful snake, but there definitely just sweet looking normals TO ME.

Re: guess which is which...again, sorry sarin haha
There are alot of scammers out there too and they see a lighter than average normal and try to sell it as a fire. Then the person that buys it breeds it and sell the baby's as fires too next thing you know there are many people selling normals as fires. I personally think on a subtle morph like a fire I would only buy one from a reputable breeder or one that was a sibling to a BEL and had all the typical markings.

Re: guess which is which...again, sorry sarin haha
you only think fires are over rated because you've never seen one (clearly if you think either of those pictures are fires).
Apic of our fire @ about 500g a while back. Even in this picture he's clearly NOT a normal.
Adult fires of good quality looklike hypos, quite good hypos!

"in the flesh" fires are amazing as are all the combos they touch. The super is the "least" fire can do ;)

Re: guess which is which...again, sorry sarin haha
haha, ok I've never seen one...?
I've seen plenty guy, yours looks normalish to me too...? Its a subtle morph get over it haha. I don't see why your making it big deal. I think its over-rated. My opinion thats all. Jason is probably right, and would further incline me to think that all these fires I am seeing are actually normal scammers. But still a subtle morph. You act like I'm saying there ugly lol. There awesome, just a normal though with nice colors and pattern.
Plus not for anything, I have videos up on youtube of my snakes and a lot of people told me I have a fire and its not...You think that fires are sooo distinguishable and there not. You can argue till your blue in the face with me on this one, I think fire is a nice normal that produces white super forms lol.
and again, I am aware of the combo potential. And when they are adults there colors are a lot more bright and noticeable.

A good example of a fire is much different then your average normal IMO. You just have to know what you're looking for.
With your logic it's like saying a Spider is just a normal with a nice pattern..
Just my 0.02.

how is it like saying that at all...? I am saying that fire's look like normals!!! OMG, I can't believe why this is hard to grasp...Look at the snake, does it not have a normal "looking" pattern? YES! You act like I'm saying that theres no way to tell the difference. Of course I can tell the difference, you can tell the difference we look at these snakes all day everyday, but again like I said in previous posts on this thread, to the untrained eye it can be difficult. Saying my logic is like comparing a spider to a normal is INSANE. You are talking about a very OBVIOUS morph that when put next to a normal is COMPLETELY different. A Fire has a normalesque pattern, where a spider has a very reduced type of pattern. Kind of an insulting comment actually. Lets just drop of it since a lot of you are misunderstanding what I am saying.
Also, you proved my point. You said when you know what to look for haha!! Well, not everyone knows what to look for. So can you see my point a little here? A person that doesn't know jack about ball's that thinks a fire is a normal is proof. Thats all I am sayin lol. Not that the Fire is a boring morph because it appears normalish sometimes, but that it can EASILY be misidentified as a normal if you as Sarin says it "don't know what to look for..." End of story.
